Welcome to the dahlia diaries - a new future for teen health

Hi there! We're Dahlia Health, and we're so glad you're here.

If you’re the parent of a teen or a teen yourself, you’ve probably had a lot of questions about health lately. Periods that seem off. Mood swings that feel bigger than usual. Sleep that never seems like enough. A body that’s changing in confusing ways. Or maybe… no one talks about any of it, and you’re left to figure it out on your own.

We started Dahlia because we believe teens deserve better: better answers, better support, and better care — for both mind and body. Especially when it comes to hormonal health, mental health, and nutrition.

Why we’re launching Dahlia Diaries

This blog is for everyone who’s ever typed “is it normal to…” into a search bar and found themselves more confused than before.

Each week, we’ll tackle real questions from real teens and parents — with expert-backed answers and tips from our care team. We’ll cover topics like:

  • What no one tells you about periods, puberty, and birth control

  • How to tell if your teen’s moodiness is actually something more

  • PCOS, PMDD, and hormonal acne — what’s actually going on?

  • Nutrition for hormonal balance (that doesn’t suck)

  • What to do when your doctor says it’s all in your head

We’re blending science, storytelling, and support — because health isn’t just about having the right diagnosis. It’s about feeling seen, heard, and understood.

Why focus on teen hormonal health?

Hormones affect everything — from energy and appetite to mental health, confidence, and focus. For girls and people assigned female at birth, these changes often start years before most doctors are paying attention. And too often, concerns get dismissed until someone’s older or actively trying to get pregnant.

We want to change that.

We’re here to support hormonal health from the very beginning — with virtual care, helpful answers, and a community that gets it.

Whether you're navigating your first period or trying to understand what’s going on with your daughter’s moods, Dahlia Diaries is here to help. And if there’s a topic you want us to cover, just shoot us a note — we’d love to hear from you.
